Love it.. Who doesn't?
I have been coming here for over a year, and it's my favorite local Sushi place, especially for Happy Hour. Every day, M-Sat from 4 to 7, they have happy hour pricing with $2 beers and discounts on all sorts of sushi. I have never had any complaints about freshness or food quality, and the service is always attentive and friendly. Run by Kim and Ken, they get to know their customers, and it's easy to quickly feel like a valued customer.
Very consistent good service, they remember our choice of drinks and side dish combinations.
I'm a 2+ year customer visiting Yokohama at least a few times a month. It's a value gem, especially considering the good quality which is ALWAYS consistent. Their happy hour is awesome and the beer is really fresh.
This is my sushi-go-to-fix when dropping big bucks is not an option. Get the blue crab hand roll..., but all their fish and accompaniments are lovely in taste and presentation.
A small, independent vibe that serves with pride, the owners enjoy naturally connecting with their customers and value them. Don't mistake focused for unfriendly, they really aim to please. I've also arranged small group events here with plenty of notice--it's a nice intimate setting with very good sharing options. TV channels are happily changed to watch requested sports or news, etc.
My family comes here once or twice every couple months. The prices are fair and there's always room for us. The food is good and fast, but it's hard to go wrong with Americanized Japanese food. The table service is fine, but don't be put off if the waitress isn't outgoing. She takes good care of the customers. Maybe you'll have wait to get your water refilled if you're waiting for her to notice. Just speak up and you'll be fine.
