Great pizza crusts (even on the thin-crust pizzas). Gino's East Pizza near Rush Street in Chicago might be better, but here you generally won't have to wait to be seated like at Gino's. Really good, fast service.
One of the few Chicago style deep dish pizza joints in Orange County. Personally I'm not a fan of Chicago style pizzas as I feel there is way too much cheese. We ordered their house special and it was well balanced. The cheese didn't overwhelm and the tomato sauce was really tasty. The crust was nice and crispy and not soggy. Over all it was a good experience. Keep in mind that these are made to order so there is quite a wait between when you order and actually get your food. Also the pizzas are deceptively filling. We ordered their pizza for two since it was just two of us and we took half home.
We shared a stuffed pizza with meatballs, pepperoni and provolone. Delicious! Also had the spinach salad with balsamic dressing. Great food, good service. Only fault would be TV's on too loud to have a conversation.
Came here after a big tourney HUNGRY! I definitely left stuffed! We had 2 stuffed pizzas 1 medium and 1 large and numerous appetizers. That seemed about enough to feed 6 people!
I've had pizza from the popular Chicago brand: Giordano's and definitely thought this was comparable!
If you have a craving for some deep dish pizza this is the place to go!
I grew up just west of Chicago, and deep dish pizza has a special place in my heart. I spotted this place a while back and had been thinking about stopping in, but it didn't happen until this evening. I was looking for that nostalgic pizza that resides somewhere in my past...and Rance's didn't disappoint.
I happened to walk in during the great E. coli Romaine lettuce drought of 2018, and I knew that my pizza was going to take 45 minutes to cook (like all good deep dish does), so I had planned to sit and eat a Caesar salad while I waited. Alas, my plan was foiled, but they were kind enough to build me a rather tasty baby spinach Caesar variant and it was excellent.
My pizza (a 9" stuffed carnivore) was excellent. The crust wasn't soggy, the toppings were plentiful, the tomato sauce was the perfect amount of chunky, and the edge flaked apart in the most wonderful way.
The server(s) were very friendly and cheerful, I didn't feel rushed, and it was a great place to sit and sort through my inbox while I waited. Thanks guys! Keep making the pizza that I often dream of.
