    Delicious and great price. There is always a wait during lunch time. I heard a lot of customers taking in Japanese. It must be pretty authentic.

    This place is totally a legit Japanese Izakaya. Old school. Like really old school. The inside decor is 80s/90s with drapes and carpet. I am told by Japanese colleagues that the food is very authentic and home-style. The owner (I think he's the owner), smokes outside the front door and wears flip flops. You should always have a reservation before coming he told me. Every dish I ordered was good except for the teriyaki. Almost everyone inside was Japanese. Located in a depressing strip mall in Costa Mesa.

    Perhaps the most authentic Japanese restaurant in Southern California. Notice that most of the customers are Japanese. Excellent!
