Fullerton Black Bear Diner

We had a great dinner for a party of eight last night. Great food and good service! The Bear Claw french toast was so yummy!

Huge menu of comfort food. Breakfast all day. Friendly and courteous staff. All for an reasonable price. What more do you need?

I wasn't impressed with the service. The waitress seemed not too interested in helping take our orders. It wasn't a full house and yet the food did take time for it to come out. The vegetables that came with our dinners were cold but had a great taste. The steak I ordered was well done instead of medium rare like I had wanted it but was seasoned very well. Not once throughout our entire meal did our server come back to refill drinks. When we tried to get her attention she wouldn't turn. I'm pretty sure we were loud enough because the neighbors turned and looked at us. I have a feeling that our neighbors must've said something to our server because she finally came! Don't expect a good tip when you don't give great service!!!

This place never disappoints! From the all-day breakfast menu to the lunch and dinner menu, I have not had anything that I did not like. Tonight, I had the Fiesta Scramble and it was perfect. My friend had the New York steak breakfast plate and the steak was cooked perfectly the way he likes. Not a lot of diners cook medium well correctly, but the cook tonight did it so wonderfully. It was perfectly seasoned, so he didn't even need the steak sauce!
And to make the experience complete, our server was so nice and funny! Shout out to Teddy! She's AWESOME!

I could live here! They have just enough variety in their menu to make it hard to choose but not so much that its overwhelming. The chefs are skilled, the staff is friendly and professional. Our waitress was friendly, helpful & accommodating. Another thing that was consistent with ALL the staff was they were happy and they take pride in their work. They work as a team and that is RARE ASSET in all business establishments. Thank you for providing us with a 5-star experience.
