DELICIOUS potstickers and very well seasoned beef in the cow bao but a bit too many flavors in all the rest. Tried a duck bao and honestly was a little bit disappointed that the duck wasnt the star of the show.

I have been to Bao Hogs for many times, back when their Bolsa bao was $3.50 (now $4.00). But I've been coming back still because the fact that this is an absolute gem in OC. It's so much that I'm surprised why there is not a line outside every night. In fact, I think if they open one in the hipster LA area, they'll make a killing with $5+ a bao. The Bolsa bao is the one I always get as the crispy skin is where it at - my wife usually gets the Chasiu bao, which is not bad. Skip the line at Boiling Crab or Boiling Point and come here instead.

New ideas of Asian fast food. Come in small amounts so you can try different menus. Good customer service. Price range $3.50 - $10. This place would attract more customers if they can change the look from outside, and have better internal design.

This place is in a very busy albeit slightly ghetto strip mall off Brookhurst. We stopped by for lunch. I really liked the baos, the duck was fresh and very similar to Peking duck preparation. Crispy pork was very crunchy and with good texture. The Hainan chicken rice was below average. The rice was too soft and overcooked. The chicken overly salty. I would stick to the namesake baos. They are slightly larger than the usual ones so 2 was enough for lunch.

Hainan chicken rice is low key the best thing to get here.
