Crimson Coward - Garden Grove

First of their service is great and so is food quality. I tried their garlic twister and it only had one piece tender but it’s thick. The garlic spread they use is homemade and a little bit spicy but for me it’s perfect for cold weather. I also tried their fried pickles. It texture is great. Just like what I like airy and crunchy. I taste no saltiness but the sourness is there because obviously it is pickled. They serve it fresh and directly out of the fryer.

Picture below is the Joey eat fries. Taste good would give 5 stars but it is more in the pricey side. Overall the combo sandwich was good.

First time trying this new hot chicken place. I must say I wasn’t too impressed. First and foremost is the price. $20 for a chicken sandwich combo is pretty high but I figured if it tasted great then it is worth it.

The chicken sandwich: I ordered mine mild, I had a bit of heat still which I don’t mind but I found the chicken breast was pretty dry, maybe over cooked. The mild sauce was missing, meaning the breast wasn’t as wet as I was expecting. The bun was also dry. The size of the chicken breast fillet was huge, the portions are great. The crimson sauce is pretty good. I ended up dipping my sandwich in it.

The fries: I really wanted to like the fries but I found the seasoning they used on my fries made it very salty. If I would have known I would have gone with light seasoning.

The staff in the restaurant are very nice and hospitable. The store is very clean and it seems like your order is made to order. I may give it another try but I’ll order a different sandwich and definitely light seasoning on my fries and the price is differently a big factor.

My kid and I went to visit this location today. It was our very first Crimson Coward experience. I loved the touch menu and how friendly and helpful Mohammad was. We had no clue portion size so I am incredibly thankful we did not order the same sides. My sandwich was mild heat and HUGE! I could have easily spilt this with someone. My kid got the burrito with Mac n cheese with medium spice and definitely could share as it was packed full. We ordered the fried pickles, we love that they had a crisp texture the two of us couldn’t finish it all. Had side seasoned fries serving could feed at least 3 people. The coleslaw is very fresh and crispy with a slight tang. This place is super clean, incredibly friendly and the food tastes AMAZING! Our family will definitely be visiting this place frequently. It is a great addition to the community.

I recommended to try their different level of spice…from country to burn-baby-burn. Fresh fries for every serve and big chicken sandwich. Tenders are awesome. It’s crispy and juicy perfect match with their homemaid ranch and crimson sauce. They give 2 on the house. Everyone try it!
