I visited Urban Punjab after hearing many recommendations from friends. It's located in the same strip mall as Shawarma House. We ordered the Chilli Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala. Unfortunately, the chicken in the Tikka Masala was neither tender nor juicy as expected. The Chilli Chicken was just okay. However, the ambiance and customer service were excellent. It's a great place to bring non-Desi friends since it offers a nice atmosphere, which is often hard to find in Desi restaurants. While the presentation was top-notch, the taste could use some improvement. Halal

i came here on a thursday night with some work friends and had a wonderful experience! the food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere made us feel like we were right at home. the seats were so comfortable and i loved the decor! our server was so nice and even gave us an indian lemon soda on the house (which was delicious!) i would highly recommend to anyone looking for good indian food! i had the chicken karahi from the server’s recommendation with medium spice and it was just the right amount of spice and SO delicious. one thing to note is everything on the menu is a la carte so you’ll want to get rice and naan bread separately. 100/10 recommend !!

So delicious! We drove up after a long midterms week all the way from San Diego for the best Indian food in SoCal! We got the Shahi Paneer, Garlic Naan, Mango Lassi, Basmati Rice, Chili Mushroom, and every single bite was so heavenly. Such a sweet manager and attentive waiters. Very worth the 1.5 hour drive! 💕 We will be coming back 😉

Amina will visit your table and discuss your meal and personally thank you for coming in. My server, Bharat made a wonderful suggestion of the Shahi Paneer and Garlic Naan. Shahi Paneer has a creamy gravy made of onions, yogurt, seeds, and did not disappoint. The portions are large and the presentation is exceptional.
The atmosphere of urban Punjab is lovely with authentic decor, and smartly set tables.

Urban Punjab has accomplished what they have set out to do and that is to bring the best urban Punjabi food to the people of California. With the rich flavors, fresh, spices, freshest yogurt, and love and care in every dish- they have succeeded.

Highly recommended.
