The French toast is amazing! The thick pieces of sugar on top of the toast is comparable to thick sea salt on a good steak.

Great if your looking for reasonable priced food. Friendly staff and good outdoor seating.

Always great for breakfast or brunch. Love sitting outside. Good service.

I live in Huntington Beach and always see the line in the morning for Sugar Shack, so mob mentality I figured it had to be great. But food was underwhelming, and they definitely seemed interested in getting us out of there. Had barely opened the menu when they started taking our order. The staff was friendly and the location is good but I don’t know if I’d wait for a table in the future.

This is a fun place to enjoy breakfast or lunch when visiting Surf City. You should go at least once, it is a local institution, ;c) Tables on the sidewalk out front are great for people watching. The back patio is my favorite though, nice and shady. There is usually a waiting list but it goes fast and is worth it. The comfort food breakfasts are really very good and substantial. A good value for the price as well. Friendly, fast service is consistent.
