Good food good drinks nice decor and great service
It was absolutely amazing! Definitely a must go. The food was great, staff was great, and love it's decor. The chef did an amazing job on my food. I was very pleased and definitely will be going back. Thanks Rodrigo's ???? #Sonora
Best of the best usually for fajitas mix...except last visit the steak was fighting me ..bummer I live the damn fajitas this to.e the meat do tough...it was an MMA fight just to eat it. They still get my 5 Stars though. I am Rene The Barber and I approve this message.
We have been going to Rodrigo's for many years, and before Rodriguez they were known as Don Jose. This is our favorite Mexican go to place, not necessarily authentic Mexican food, but it is tasty and satisfied. It's a good idea to join their membership club, as you get a discount coupon for $12 off any dinner or meal with a purchase of two drinks. It is known for its older clientele, which is nice and makes for a quiet eating experience unless you're afraid of gray hair. As I have gray hair this presents no problem for me. If you're not expecting authentic homemade Mexican food, this is one of the best chain type Mexican restaurants. If you go I hope you enjoy this much as my wife and I do.
When your overall reviews are positive, I suppose you can allow yourself the occasional lackluster service. We were greeted by the host (who was friendly enough) and he sat us at a good table. However, prior to being seated, he asks a server in Spanish if he wants to take us. The server looks at us and for some reason (I honestly have no idea) he seemed forced to do it. Now, he was smiles when interacting with us, but it was obvious, and again, no clue why, he didn't want to serve us. Taking our order was rushed, checking on us during the meal was next to non existent, when asking for a drink refill, he sent the busboy. I don't want to paint this horrible experience picture either, it was just weird and a little offputting. The food didn't taste bad, but had a re heated left overs feel to it. Beans were dried out (not just on the edges which happens when the put the plates in the oven to melt the cheese), the tortillas used to make enchiladas had stiff areas (signs of not being fresh. No enchilada served in this way which is drowned in sauce should ever be stiff). I most likely won't be back. Really, the area has several places to choose from that I feel more inclined to spend my money elsewhere. I give 3 stars because, as mentioned before, the food wasn't horrible and the good attitude of the busboy.
