Golden Olive

Olive Garden has the same problems as Disneyland - it's a victim of its own success. The last time I went it was noisy & very, very stuffy. And just like Disneyland contains a simulation of Main St., Olive Garden is a simulation of an Italian restaurant.

The pita bread here is so awesome. The pizza is great the Greek food is great I'm telling you try this place the people that work here are the best you're going to love it. You're also going to smell like garlic.

I was hoping for a better experience. My friend recommended this restaurant. I got chicken shawarma. The plate comes with salad, hummus, potato chips and choice of meat.
I also got a side order of rice which was very average. Very plain, hardly any flavor. But, my main disappointment was such a small chicken portion. It was very, very small, probably 6 ounces at the most. The home made pita was pretty good.
I wish that I would have gotten at least a decent chicken portion, but it was not the case. I feel that I overpaid. I am not coming back. .

This little place is a real gem in Huntington Beach. Hot puffy pita, the fabulous kebabs (we had the lamb and shrimp kebab) served with a Greek salad, rice and hummus. GENEROUS portions. We were too full to order the obviously homemade baklava. Reasonably priced. Clearly a local favorite. Wish this place was in my neighborhood!
