Nice place hidden back in the office buildings near 24 hour fitness. I never like paying lots of money for cheap ingredients like pasta, but they cooked nice and El Dante. But next time I will get a traditional dish without the pasta. Wife had a dish with a variety of seafood that was much better. All was cooked right and atmosphere is relaxing and busy.

This Irvine restaurant is the main test location for this focused chain serving classic Italian food with a rotation of various authentic regional dishes combined with a fixed base of favorites. The manager has been there years and provides the steady and consistent leadership needed to avoid fluctuations in the restaurants presentation and quality. Considering the dining package as a whole with moderate prices, Il Fornaio is exceptional.
