Best Makino I been is here in Irvine!???????????? Great service! The staffs are very attentive! I mean all the staff! From the hostess, to the servers, to the cooks that are behind the food line! And the food... totally well prepared, nice presentation and of course, super awesomely delicious! One down side is the lobster is overcooked but easily overlooked with the rest of the awesome dish, specially the sushi! And having Japanese staff in a Japanese restaurant like Makino makes it a bit more authentic and a big plus! Come out and give it a shot folks! The worse case that could happen is you fall in love with this place!????????☝️♥️

FRESH! I can't believe it, the sushi and the seafood are actually fresh! Just the fresh chilled snow crab legs alone make this place worth the money. A huge variety of fresh sushi including fancy ones topped with lobster and spicy mayo. They even have some sushi choices with soy paper for those who are scared of seaweed. Avoid the hot food items since they're not that great. Only exception is the excellent tempura shrimp. Get there right when they open at 5:30 to get fresh hot tempura. Otherwise wait an hour before they replenish it. Meanwhile the sushi is constantly replenished. The chilled fresh snow crab was never replenished, so again make sure you get there right when they open. Prices for 2019 are $30 on weekdays (Mon-Fri) and $46 on weekends (Sat/Sun).

They get lots of customers and gets busy so that's good as this means good rotation on food. Lots of options. Smoothie bar is closed but signs still up. -1 star due to 2 out of 8 of our peeps in our group got a little sick n bit of diarrhea but they were Asians who do seafood which was weird. Anyways. Still good. Had a hand rolls area and noodle bar made to order. I thought I was at McDonald's coz Ice cream machine was down too. This was on 1/5
