Lamppost Pizza

Great friendly atmosphere. Lil bit noisy . SCREENS EVERYWHERE ! SPORTS EVERYWHERE U LOOK ! If you bring your chatty friend u can just nod your head while catching up on every sporting event. Food was good i had the garlic artichoke pizza. A large was about $30 btw. Not like pizza hut prices. They have a bar connected, you can walk over and get beer without going outside that is. A pizza and a salad and a couple sodas ran me over $50....For me and my gf that is.. yes, she is real ! I didn't eat all of that myself.

Good pizza, lots of toppings. Great brewery next door/attached - backstreet brewery. Good house brewed beer. Good place to watch sports and to come after soccer, football, basketball etc.

Our local running club South Coast Roadrunners, has been dining here for pizza right after our monthly meeting for years. In general, this is a great place to get together with as a group. They are very crowded most nights, and many of the local sports clubs meet here after their games, sometimes reserving tables. The place is set up to accommodate large crowds with long benches and outdoor seating. Sport games are playing on the many television screens around the place. The trend is micro-breweries, and Lamppost is definitely on that train with a good selection of brew. The service and atmosphere is friendly. The volume level is high octane, so don't expect to go there and nap. The pizza is ok, as this is, well, California. You're not necessarily coming here for great pizza. Hey, I'm from New Jersey, so my pizza standards are a bit high. Prices are also on the higher side, but again, we're talking high rent Irvine, and someone has to pay the bill. What makes this place work is the combination of food, drink, and atmosphere shared among friends. For that recipe alone I'll give Lamppost 4 stars.
