I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of the food. It was busy, but the servers were attentive. I would definitely come back here again. I had the beef bulgogi. My brother had the spicy chicken and I liked the spicy chicken alot.
Pretty good soon tofu. I really like the kimchi soup with oysters. The spicy is not very spicy and would be a 7 on the scale of 10. The Culver drive location doesn't have super long wait time. If you don't want to wait and have good soon tofu, this is your spot!
The soon tofu comes in boiling hot and the sides are also delicious 🥵
Came here with 2 clients of mine to have lunch. There was no wait, we were seated within 1 minute. The restaurant was busy but not full. It was around 12:45pm on a Saturday. We felt the our table was a little too close to the next table and able to hear their conversation. The allowed a big walkaway area because they have a robot delivering dishes.
We ordered Tofu Soup with rice. They do have vegetarian option, you just need to let the server know you would like the vegetarian brother with the vegetarian topping.
The side dishes - Banchan, these were really good. They gave us mashed potato, noodles, kimchi, bean sprout and cucumber kimchi. Each of us got a fried fish with our meal. The meal portion is enough for me. The servers were busy and we had to ask them a few times before they were able to refill our banchan.
Parking in this plaza on a Saturday was a bit crazy. Took us a while to find a parking in the area.
I have been to Kaju at all three restaurant.
Irvine is new and conveniently located!
We ordered the Lunch time exclusive lunch special. This is definitely worth it! You can choose the spiciness of the soup, so even people who don't like spicy food can enjoy it.
Small plates can be refilled many times : )
This is my NO.1 favorite Korean restaurant!
Great food and kind staff! Went on opening week so it was pretty crowded, but I expect the crowd to fizzle out in a few weeks.
My favorite thing we ordered was the seafood pancake (해물파전). The ingredients were super fresh and tasted amazing when paired with their kimchi.
Also I appreciated that their spice levels for their soondubu do get very hot!
Do recommend stopping by!
