Deck on Laguna Beach

I need to start off by saying that this is definitely one of a kind in orange county. The best way to park is to valet!

As you walk in it feels like you're walking into someone's house which made me feel at home right away. Then you start working your way back will you see the incredible view of the ocean and the horizon.

Besides the view and the atmosphere which is important to me the food was also delicious and looked and tasted amazing. This is definitely a great spot to invite friends for the first time or to treat someone out.

This place gets five stars from me!

Beautiful yet mediocre food but a nice atmosphere. This is a great place to watch the sunset on the deck with a cocktail. The menu is seafood-forward.
Service was pleasant but slow. My Cobb salad had ice cold chicken on it. Again, you're paying for the view here. Otherwise unimpressive and overpriced.

The Deck is located behind a hotel that's behind a row of stores so it's not obvious from driving by. You need to drive or walk down a downhill alley way where you'll see a valet stand set up. Parking is street or valet.

This place is one of the best restaurants with outdoor seating to view the beach. The view is phenomenal! It's a casual setting that's very relaxing and fitting with the beach vibes. As for the food, the meat and seafood dishes seem to be very good but the vegetarian dishes are just ok. The desserts were good but I remember the toffee cake the most. It was definitely sweet but the texture was very interesting in a great way and eating it together with other components on the dish balanced out that sweetness. Drinks are great too, though a bit pricey as expected.

Kawai is amazing best server they have! Never have I been taken care of better at any restaurant. When you visit this locals place make sure to ask for him by name great food and great service!

Great view of the Pacific!

It was a crowded and cold evening when we dined there. Service was slow and heaters didn't warm the place enough. But once we got the food we enjoyed our meals. Portion on the lamb chops were more than I expected which is nice. It has good flavor as well. The sea bass my wife ordered was good too.

A bird pooped onto the railing next to our table and the splatter got me in the face and onto our tableware. That was funny/disgusting but it's the risk you take eating outdoors by the beach. This has no bearing on my 3 star review, just thought I'd mention it.
