    This is a breakfast/brunch place in Laguna Canyon. The traditional breakfast items are just ok and pretty standard like the omeletes, pancakes or waffles. The muffins are excellent and I think the best thing on the menu. 5 star for the muffins! This place is not that convenient to get to unless you live in Laguna or Aliso area.

    The breakfast place we were going to was closed for renovation, so we Yelped to Kitchen in the Canyon. It's a quaint, modern, nicely appointed place. We arrived on a Saturday morning about an hour after they opened and pretty much had the place to ourselves (the surge came at 9:00). It was FREEZING inside! We ordered the bourbon maple waffle plate special and the waffles were lukewarm and soggy. The bacon was great, but they used too much vinegar with the poached eggs. One daughter had the avocado toast and loved it. My other daughter had the blueberry muffin--full of blueberries, cinnamon, and crystallized sugar. Yummy! All in, an OK experience but not the 5-star others seem to enjoy.

    Man oh man do I love this place! I am a breakfast food junkie and this place satisfies. The special (bourbon maple french toast) was crazy good, and their bagel and lox is a great twist on a timeless favorite. One of the more reasonably priced Laguna restaurants as well. Will definitely be back!
