Izakaya Soba Minami

The grilled duck is disappointment. It is kinda misleading from the menu, but this is actually a salad... Otherwise it was good. We ordered hakata motsu giblet hot pot, beef and burdock hot soba with two portions of noodle. Tastes quite good.

Curry beef soba/udon is amazing! Very authentic with tons of flavor. Best Japanese noodle place I've had in Southern California. I don't need to ask people to drive all the way to LA just for some delicious Japanese food anymore. Great environment and friendly staff!

Great food and great atmosphere. Loved the noodles and knowing that the Soba ones were made in house. I really recommend this place!

Food is ok, but the service leaves much to be desired. Gals can't ever seem to serve you the right meal ever. You will have to tell them many times that you didn't order what they put in front of you and remind them constantly that you are missing something.

I am hesitant to write this review because I don't want this place to get busier. This is an excellent Japanese restaurant in Laguna Hills. It is located on the first floor of the new large condo development. We needed this place, since my town is sorely lacking in good options. The only good Japanese restaurant closed down about a year or two ago. The menu is large and extensive, the dishes very Japanese and high quality. The service is slow though, they are probably working out the kinks.
