Chaupain Bakery

The best croissants I’ve ever had in the states. Rich and buttery, and the chocolate is dark but not bitter on the chocolate ones. The many flavors offered are less “traditional” but they are all done with quality, and artistry. The ham and cheese is Gruyere and so rich. I went there so often just to get breakfast, but they do have other bakery goods as well.

First time there. Wonderful help. Got a variety of pastries. Everything was AMAZING! Each was delicious, surprising, terrific. Will be doing back... Often.

What a wonderful experience! Customer service was wonderful! This kind of customer service is hard to find and when we do we appreciate it. Thank you Basil for such a great experience on our very first visit. Pastries, banana bread, and coffee were delicious! Definitely must visit Chaupain!!

The pastry here was delicious both for adults and elementary school girls. These pastries taste better and feel more comfortable when purchased at a specialty store rather than making them at home.

Chaupain Bakery has two branches. There are new stores in Laguna Hills and San Clemente that I visited. I felt that it was a good place to eat outside or take out on a sunny day.

Chaupain Bakery is a small bakery. It is an exceptional find. As others have commented, the staff members are friendly. I ordered a large coffee and the sun dried tomato quiche. That made for a yummy breakfast. I took home a baguette, which was very fresh. I picked up basil, cheese and meat at the grocer, and made a sandwich that placed me on the Seine.

I love that the bakery opens at 6 am on weekdays. I enjoy having a spot to sit and enjoy a fine cup of coffee and a simple breakfast.

Chaupain is highly recommended!
