Hafez Cafe'

My husband and I drove to California from Portland, OR. We came to this restaurant by chance and had an absolutely amazing experience! The owner, Ali, was so friendly, welcoming, and kind. He did everything possible and took the extra mile to make sure we were well served. The food was absolutely delicious!! The different types of chicken kabobs (which is what we ordered) were one of the best we've ever had -- even better than popular Persian restaurants in California (we've tried them all over the years). The restaurant offers fresh Tafdoon bread that is made hot and fresh in the restaurant's Tanoor oven. The restaurant also offers free unlimited tea, as well, which was wonderful! Great quality food, great service, and absolutely delicious! We will be visiting again!

Very polite and friendly owners. They make everything from scratch in their kitchen, even the fresh bread. Food is very flavorful and portions are generous. Would definitely come back. I appreciate the complementary homemade tea as well. It tastes amazing.

My friends and I had great experience here. The owners/workers were very hospitable, and made us feel like we were a part of their family. They started us out with bread, shallot yogurt dip, and their own tea blend (amazing!), and by the end of the meal, we had more food than any of us could eat. Their food is very good and the prices are reasonable. We tried the two stews and mixed kabobs. We look forward to trying other dishes when we return.

So glad we finally tried Hafez Cafe! We used to love Grill Cafe when it was here and were sad to see it go, but this definitely made up for it! Everyone was really nice and the food was delicious! The bread is incredibly delicious and fresh and hot from the fire! The complimentary tea was very nice too. We will definitely be back.
