Finally, tasty chicken sandwiches nearby. Raising Canes, Chic-fil-a, even Popeyes, are so dang bland. Sauce is required for any flavor. We've felt tied to KFC because at least the crust is flaky and tasty, their chicken better quality than junk fastfood like Jack-in-the-box. The bread used for the bun at Zach's is spot on, slaw tasty, house sauce good, crust great, mid-level spicy is perfect, big strips, and made to order. The only other yummy place is a far drive, way west Orange, HOLDAAK. Glad this place arrived. It is a bit weird to be inside another restaurant and with no counter, kiosk only, but it ended up being easy and I appreciate anything tasty in these parts! It is a bit spendy, but I appreciate the quality ingredients.

I liked the sauce and the breading/spice level was good... But why, oh why, do all these fried chicken places use white meat??? It's unfortunately, like so many other joints, rather dry in the inside since they use chicken breast. Please please use dark meat inside - thigh makes for the best fried chicken!

Great new chicken place!! Stopped in for lunch today with my wife, and we loved it! We both ordered tender meals with Risky (Medium) flavor. The risky was not Hot but it wasn’t Mild… so good. 👍🏼👍🏼 The fries were season and really delicious as well. Staff was friendly and just an all-around great experience. We will definitely go back, and most definitely recommend.

It's decent fried chicken. The kaleslaw was tasty. The fries are pretty average. The "bread" served with the meals was a dried out piece of white bread. Including it in the meal description as food is kind of a joke, I think. The kiosk ordering is simple, but they ask you to tip up front. You will pick your food up at the counter and buss your own table, so proceed as you feel appropriate. In my opinion, it is overpriced for decent chicken served with fast-food ambiance. We already have a local Chick-fil-A and Raising Canes for that, at a better price point.

Also, the crazy hot, their spiciest chicken, is about as spicy as the second hottest sauce at del Taco. For real.

Zach’s Chicken was certainly a pleasant surprise. As I would pass by the Pita Pita on Lake Forest Dr at least once a week, I found it quite amusing that it seemed there was another restaurant opening inside the same building. And by that, I mean they literally share a dining room. This humorous development didn’t inspire much confidence in me, but of course I had to try it, and I was certainly not disappointed. With pleasant and helpful staff, cooked to order chicken, and the (almost standard, by now) “choose your heat level” model, it was everything you’d expect from another of the many upcoming hot chicken sandwich joints, and for a reasonable price. The chicken was perfect, the sandwiches were simple and tasty, and there were a variety of sauces that each offered something different and delicious. I always get the second-to-hottest spice level at these places, and I have to say, Zach’s seemed significantly less spicy than comparable restaurants, but you’re really looking for some chicken that’ll make you cry, you’re not missing out on too much. All in all, Zach’s Chicken is definitely a must try for chicken sandwich lovers.
