Fortune Cookies Chinese Bistro

It was our first time there and we got there a bit late. There was only one other table eating so at first, we were skeptical but once the food came out we are quite pleased as it was fresh, hot and really tasty with generous portions and reasonable prices. We will be going back with our daughter and her husband.
Highly recommended!

I ordered (SLS) Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, and (RKF) Royal King Fish Filet. SLS was delicious, but my only complaint was the peas being too starchy. Replacing the peas with petite peas would dramatically improve the dish. The flavor of RKFF was basically Chinese sweet and sour, but it was listed under Thai dishes. Reality didn't match my expectations. It also had peas in it.

Only our second time here for take out. Restaurant has been full both times we were here. First time we got home and our beef plate was not tender at all. Called the restaurant and the manager, Brent, advised us he would give us credit for next time. We came back tonight to pick up, and Brent did in fact comp one of our meals. The cashier said it's the first time he heard any complaints! Very nice people work here!

The food is good. The beef was fork tender, the fried tempera wasn't oily or under cooked. Every dish was delicious. This place will fit a large group. We had 11 ppl with us. So here is a pro tip....call a head and reserve a spot. I will say this is CLEAN Chinese food so spicy isn't spicy at all. You may want to salt your food as well.

Really really great food. Very nice servers. Familiar with one of their other locations, but super excited to have them here in Laguna Hills! Their chow mein was excellent. Fresh veggies and ingredients. Lunch specials go pretty late - surprisingly. For solid Chinese food, this is a great place to go - tastes like homemade!
