I have tried most of the Pho places south of Irvine and they don't compare to Pho Bo Vang.
Their pho is pretty phenomenal with a great price point and a generous serving of meat and noodles. Their broth is delicious and doesn't have the aftertaste of sugar trying to hide lack of quality. No no, they do not cut corners here and serve delicious soup.
Heavily recommend the wonton soup(so fresh), all stir fry recipes(never knew stir fry could taste so GOOD), and their fried rice combinations.
Don't look no further, this isn't just a pho shop, its Vietnamese cuisine done right.
First time there, had the chicken, excellent all white meat
What can I say, I've been coming here for almost 20 years. It's a great family owned restaurant where you actually have husband and wife working almost every day with their sons. They truly monitor there quality of food and you will receive the same dish that you've had before. One thing I always come back here for and crave are the egg rolls. They do a great job not using too much egg roll wrapper. If you don't know what I mean, picture biting into an eggroll where you feel like your teeth are trying to cut through five layers of the wrapper just to get to the filling. You won't find this at Pho Bo Vang. The egg rolls have a wonderful texture and flavor and are totally addictive. I love all of their different types of pho and rice vermicelli noodles.
If you don't know what to order ask Tommy or Toby. They'll recommend something good for you!
Food was ok. The older gentleman who was working at the time had THE WORST attitude. He wouldn't speak and was grumpy. It was as if he hated being there. I wasn't the only one who noticed it, other customers were shocked on how he was acting. Things didn't get better until a younger guy came in to work. He was more attentive and nicer.
Tried Vietnamese food for the first time. Aside from Vietnamese Egg Rolls a coworkers husband made all the time. It was a nice change from our usual Thai and Chinese. The server was especially helpful and informative as to the Vietnamese style of cooking. The two dishes we tried were good, and want to try their Pho Soups next visit. We were hungry, and the amount of food was quite filling. Thanks!
