California Fish Grill

Cool setup where you can see the grill. Lots of delicious options for fish almost any way you want it. All of the sourcing is transparent. Really interesting craft soda fountain, salsa bar, and indoor/outdoor seating.

I am writing this review because of a change of heart. Several months ago I visited this restaurant and was kept waiting so long for my order that I demanded a refund of my money and left. I have never been back. Yesterday I decided to see if they had changed their service. What a wonderful surprise. I ordered the salmon salad and sat back with a book to await the long service. To my surprise after 15 minutes a waitress approached me and stated my order was going to take a few more minutes and would I like a bowl of clam chowder. The chowder was delicious and it was followed by a wonderful salad within a few minutes! I will definitely return and congratulate this restaurant on terrific changes in their service!!

Freshly cooked fish abd seafood. Nice salads and side dishes. Very reasonable. Casual atmosphere.

The food is great. The price is right. The seating is sometimes limited. Should be wall to wall booths. Not a comfortable restaurant. Liked the brick walls, then they painted them white. Suggestion. Don't fix it if it ain't broken. Can have dogs outside. Like that.

Great food at reasonable prices. The only reason I'm not giving them a 5 star rating is because they've been out of poke for the last month or so. They say it's because of the tuna and salmon sourcing, but how come other places still serve poke? Any ways, their dynamite shrimp bowl is outstanding!
