I have just recently started coming here, thanks to a couple of friends who love this place, both times for brunch. The place gets packed, so I have been lucky as both times I came, we found seating right away. Once in the early morning and the second time we found bar seating. The food I've tried has been very good and the portions huge. I liked best the chorizo scramble, anything boxed on their menu, they consider a specialty, and this definitely proved it. Not sure how $15.99 for bottomless mimosa's rates in terms of pricing but they were generous and we definitely had a good time.
4 stars because parking is always challenging and the prices seem a little inflated but overall, I plan to come back and the service has been outstanding.
I had the fish and chips and I have to say its was not great. The fries were soggy and the fish was not light and fluffy. In defense to the restaurant once the manager was informed he immediately came over, inspected the food and gave a sincere apology. Of course they took it off my bill. I have been there for breakfast and it was really good. The breakfast sandwich and chicken sliders are amazing. I think this was just a one time bad meal and will go back.
Mama's is the best. Consistently delicious and reasonably priced for their substantial portion size. Drinks are great, try the gold rush. The thrifty ice cream however is not thrifty at $2 a scoop. The parking here is a nightmare though, look for the red mamas parking or try the lot across the street to the North.
I was disappointed. Ordering was easy, pickup was Great. The Tomato Basil soup was Fantastic! But, My husband was not impressed with his dinner. I had the Fried Chicken. The crust was good, but the breast was dry. The wing was burned and tough. The vegetables were seasoned Very well, but got the chicken crust and mashed potatoes soggy. The Sausage gravy wasn't peppery, and Very good. I didn't get a chance to finish my dinner before it was cold so I didn't really get a chance to try the leg, thigh.though. Overall I'm not sure if we'll go back. Was torn between a 3 and 4, some very good things, some not.
Food was great! I got the bacon biscuits, and they weren't dry, the gravy was excellent, and the fried chicken wasn't too greasy. The wife got the french toast, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Hawaiian bread french toast? Yes, please.
Our server was David, and he did a too notch job. I would 100% eat here again.
