    Short and simple:
This is your place if you have an unhealthy and concerning obsession with tacos. No complaints. Affordable and good.

I heard a lot of good things about this restaurant so I decided to check it out. First observation as I walked up I saw the long line so it must be good but that means it will be a long wait. And there was only one cashier even though they could see there were a lot of people.

On to the food. I was with a group and we ordered several items. Three different taco meat: Beef/Carne Asada was well seasoned tender and really delicious, pollo needed more salt but it was still good. Lastly, the fish looked good but since I didn't really eat it I can't say anything about the flavor and it was a small portion. Corn on the cob has a different flavor I'm not used to, they added butter, tahin chili powder and some sour flavor. Overall it was good. My husband ordered a California burrito, see photo. It was a good portion and he said it was delicious.

They don't have combo plates however, everything is ala carte. They also have a salsa bar.

Price is more on the expensive side. But I would still go back there but I'll make sure I'm not super hungry when I go. haha. I revived this restaurant.

Best Tacos. So excited they popped up. I ain't a fan of their fish tacos, but their shrimp, pastor, and asada are on point. Their salsa bar is GOAT. Love their elote as well. There is often a line so be prepared to wait.

The Al Pastor tacos are great with a huge plus that it is shaved off a spinner. The taco comes with a long piece of piña which helps you get a taste in every bite, a nice extra touch. The carne asada is also great because it is cut thicker than normal and has a tasty char flavor. The tacos come with one thick corn tortilla straight off the comal that has good flavor instead of the typical flimsy double tortillas. The california burrito was stuffed with well done fries which is another great extra touch because it provides an extra crunch to the texture. The flour tortilla it was wrapped in was also high quality with the leopard char marks you expect from a legit taco shop. They also have a great selection at the salsa bar. Next time I need to try the churros, they look good.

"Wow! The Taco Stand in Mission Viejo has exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm and friendly smiles of Luisa and Gladys, who made us feel right at home. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, and the salsa bar is a delightful addition.

The food at The Taco Stand is simply amazing! I couldn't decide between the carne asada and the polo asada, so I ended up getting both, and I'm so glad I did. The flavors were incredible, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite. It's no wonder we loved it.. it’s amazing the Manager Evelio stopped by to say hello; it’s the team members at The Taco Stand that are something truly special.

Even though I've been to the Costa Mesa location many times, this was my parents' first visit, and they were blown away. They loved how fresh and clean everything was, and they couldn't stop raving about the delicious food.

The Taco Stand in Mission Viejo is definitely going to be our go-to spot for family dinners from now on. I highly recommend it to anyone who craves authentic and mouthwatering Mexican cuisine. Thank you, Taco Stand, for providing such a fantastic dining experience!"

I hope this review encourages you to be adventurous and try something new!
