Ruby's Diner

Cannot say enough about it! Great location: obviously! You need to park in the parking lot by the pier then walk out the pier to the restaurant. The service was top notch! Food was fast and exceeded expectations. Variations of burgers and fries, fish and fries and the shakes were perfect. They were even flexible on a few requests which is always cool. We chose to eat outside and there were fisherman near us just reeling them in the whole time! There are umbrellas outside for shade. You can eat on top of the building at night. Afterward, we played on the beach and then showered off before heading home. AWESOME!! We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed the food and service. We got here when the sun was setting. Beautiful view and loved the Cobb burger and fish. The service was very friendly and helpful.

Ruby's Diner is located at the end of the Balboa Pier. On the day we were at Ruby's Diner the weather was clear and calm. The view was beautiful. We had a panoramic view of the coast including Catalina Island. There were a lot of fishermen fishing off the pier. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast along with top notch customer service. We will be coming back on our next visit.

A restaurant at the end of the Balboa Pier. Serves the typical Ruby's menu. It has been there for years and is in very good condition. Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly and attentive staff. The meals were well prepared and good quality ingredients. Despite the pigeons and seagulls, the outside tables were clean and neat. Just a fun place to eat.
