JOEY Newport Beach

The food and service was good, but not sure what the hype is about. You can't get reservations for weeks out. It's located in fashion island so it's a nice restaurant. I just didn't think the food stood out. It's just another normal high end restaurant with decent food.

This is a newly opened restaurant that has hit just the right nerve with patrons. Beautifully designed, absolutely great service and delicious food and drinks. Love the menu, perfectly portioned food and very attentive servers. During my short trip, I visited this restaurant three times, because I found everything about it just right.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Would highly recommend booking a table at least a week in advance. This place gets packed!! Coming in without a reservation will yield you a 90 min wait time, actually amazing they can even do that. There is bar seating that’s is first come first service but it’s not easy scoring a seat! People tend to occupy their seats for a very long time, think north of 2 hours sometimes! Wait is worth it though. Drinks are amazing, service is prompt, the food is the real star. Ribeye steak was cooked to perfection, shrimp ravioli were drool worthy, seared salmon was super different and delicious, gyoza were perfect and the crab cake too. I imagine anything you order here will be amazing, hard to pick a favorite.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Joey restaurant in Newport Beach and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the decor was beautifully curated. But what truly made my visit unforgettable was the exceptional service I received from our server, Zack.

From the moment I was seated, Zack made me feel welcomed and ensured that I had everything I needed. He was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations based on my preferences. Not only did he provide excellent service, but he was also engaging and enjoyable to chat with. He added a personal touch to my dining experience and made me feel like a valued guest.

The food at Joey was simply delicious. Every dish was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. I especially enjoyed the steak & ravioli bianco which was incredibly flavorful. The portions were generous and I left feeling completely satisfied.

Overall, I highly recommend Joey restaurant in Newport Beach. The combination of excellent food, beautiful atmosphere, and exceptional service make it a truly special dining experience. And be sure to ask for Zack as your server - you won't be disappointed!

The food was good but the service was exceptional. The shift manager Josh was so attentive.

Before we were seated, everyone was given champagne.

There is a fire pit outdoor for people who just want to grab a drink and chat.

I like the vibe and ambiance. Definitely coming back.

We ordered the ribeye and new york strip. My recommendation is ordering it rare if you want medium rare and medium rare if you want medium.
