Average. I chose the house special and while my request for medium rare was spot on, perfect even, the meat was just okay. My waitress was very attentive and took good care of me. Decent portions with the size of the steak, a potato and soup or salad for 20 bucks. I suppose I shouldn't complain.
My boyfriend and I came here for the first time after he had a rough day at work. He'd been craving steak, and I wanted to find a good place that wouldn't break the bank. Mission accomplished! The prices here are reasonable, with generous portions. We were continually impressed throughout the meal by the freshness of the food and the flavor. Even better, our server was awesome and never left us with empty glasses or waiting around wanting to order something else. The atmosphere was also very cozy and enjoyable. We'll definitely be back!
Food good, I enjoyed my steak and potatoes. They were down a waitress because she went home sick. The girl waiting out table did the best she could. She was very overwhelmed but never took it out on us. Was a little slow but we made it work.
The place is kind of a dive...dark with lots of boothes. Gives the feeling of an old bar/pub.
The Steer Inn is a long time favorite. Known for their steaks they also offer non-meat items such as fried chicken, chicken breasts, fried shrimp, a fish kabob and a couple of salads.
They offer a very nice selection of steaks for those so inclined.
Meals include soup or salad and some type of potato.
I had the large 1/2 fries chicken, a rare splurge. My wife always gets the fried shrimp.
The serve beer and wine and make a good Sangria.
Can get busy on special occasion nights, and perhaps some evenings. We were there over the weekend about 7pm and there was no wait.
There are two Steer Inn's, one in Anaheim and the other on Tustin Avenue a short distance below the SR 22 Freeway.
It's a small operation with a cordial staff, decent prices, good food and years of experience.
I always try to visit non-chain restaurants, and happily recommend trying the Steer In.
