Best damn croissants ever

I work at Word & Brown and eat here every day, not just because it is convenient, but because I think the food is really good and it is inexpensive ($7 or less). Their salads are huge, and they are assembled and tossed with dressing before your very eyes. They include Garden, Farmer, Chef, Cobb, Caesar, Chicken Caesar, Greek, and Chinese Chicken. Their grilled sandwiches are thick and tasty. They include Club (turkey, ham, bacon, jack), BLT, Turkey and Jack BLT, Avocado and Jack BLT, and Cobb (turkey, avocado, bacon, jack), all on your choice of bread. Their double cheese burger, patty melt, tuna melt, and grilled cheese are all as good as at Denny’s. They have good hot dogs, too, that snap when you bite them ($3). And their spaghetti (meat sauce that reminds me of Ragu or Prego) is one of my favorites ($5). For breakfast they have a toasted bagel with cream cheese ($2) and a huge burrito with hash browns, bacon or ham, scrambled eggs, cheese, and salsa ($5). I never spend more than about $7. You can’t beat that! They are open 7 am to 2:30 pm, M-F.
