Food quality: 3/5
I must say I was disappointed with this Lucille's compared to the one I've been to in Sacramento. The tri tip in the Back Porch meal was crumbly and not cooked right (minus one star). The sweet tea was turned out to be normal iced tea (I know it's a small thing to complain about but if half the people at the table order it, it should be sweetened...). I also thought the ribs were really petite and should have had more meat for how much the menu boasts about them... Take off another star for those two items. The chicken was the best part of the meal! I love their chicken so I'm glad that didn't disappoint. The biscuits were good, but not great. Mac n cheese is tasty, I'd recommend it as a side.
Food presentation: 4/5
The food is all very delectable looking on the plate, and the only reason I would subtract one star is for the fact that each piece of meat with a different BBQ sauce is on top of each other so all the sauces eventually mix and you can't tell one from the other after a while.
Customer service: 4/5
Our server was really nice and could tell we were hungry so he immediately brought out some biscuits for us to munch on and even a second set when we finished the first. Minus one point because he was pushing dessert a little more than a normal server should have I felt...
Ambiance: 3/5
It has a very southern feel to it and it's paired nicely with the food that is served. Only reason they didn't get a full 5 stars is because I've been to the one in Sacramento and that one was way cooler. They had a band playing some country music and the vibe to the place was a much better one than the one I got here. It's probably because this place is right next to The Block so it can't get too southern feeling I guess in the middle of a city and mall...
Overall experience: 3/5
Great food, even better service. The place was very busy, but we were still seated right away. Everyone had a smile on their face and super friendly. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Well deserved 5-stars!!
Best BBQ I’ve ever had! The ladies who work their were so cheerful, nice and helpful. This restaurant was located 5 minutes from my hotel and I absolutely would go there again! We waited an hour to be seated as it was so packed but it was definitely worth it. They even text you when a table is available. The food is amazing, the drinks are great. Absolutely no complaints!
Our waitress was prompt and courteous. Food was EXCELLENT. One of the best dining experiences I have had while vacationing here in the Anaheim area! Brisket nacho appetizer is HUGE! The Bacon Jam Burger was awesome! Cold drinks served in mason jars topped it all off! Will definitely be coming back!
