Dinner service on Saturday night 3-23-19 can be improved. Seem to need another waiter and better coordination with staff.
For instance, bread and butter was delivered followed by appetizer and it took us 5 minutes later to get staff attention for plates and utencils.
Calamari was very good. Dinner took longer to arrive.

Decor is pleasant. However Table size for four is inadequate because it is too small to fit for plates with drinks and spacing of tables are too close to each other. For instance, the next table over with little children in a high chair touched us and folks can't seem to walk through between tables.

Fratellos is a local hometown favorite in San Clemente! Family owned and operated. Great service and yummy Italian food! What more do you need!

Good portion per serving and great menu to include an awesome price per dish. Family environment, or an awesome place for a date night. Highly recommended!

It’s hard to find the small sign outside of the restaurant. That usually means it’s a great place! Once you walk in, hostess is very attentive. We sat next to the bar. The owner, Joe, is all over the restaurant. He is making sure people have exactly what they need. He did not introduce himself as the owner, my boyfriend did his research and spotted Joe from a mile away. We did not stress or even take time to think of what we needed. The only downfall was that my boyfriend ordered a bottle of Decoy (did not specify) and I Let it roll because I assumed the only Decoy offered was the merlot. Our waiter came back with a white wine bottle but it was not presented, tasted or etc. therefore it was already opened and poured before we could stop him. It was a fowl on both parties. Luckily, we drink both red and white, we enjoyed the bottle we had received to not start a fuss. All in all, it was evident this spot has MANY regulars and after eating there we can see why. The ambiance with the candle on the table is divine. If we lived here we were return very, very soon.

Best NY style pizza around. Service at the bar remains terrible. Bartenders completely clueless as to how to provide good service. They should all be required to spend an entire evening observing bartenders at Nick's or Cafe R& D or so many other quality bars. Not bartenders fault it's a failure of management.
