I ordered the spinach scramble and when it came was surprised to see the color. The eggs were gray green? It tasted OK just not visually appealing. I asked if it came with toast and was offered a separate order of toast. It came grilled with parm cheese and tasted like smoke. I had to ask the server 3 times for jam and it finally came but couldn't save the toast.
To the manager/ I didn't enjoy the food and toast with an egg dish shouldn't be grilled parmesan.
Wow!!!!! What an incredible place this is. We hosted my husband’s company’s holiday party here and it was above and beyond perfection!!! The service was attentive, the ambiance festive, and the food was absolutely divine!!!!!! We were served in excellent time and the food was SO good I literally came back the next day for a to go order! We will definitely be dining here again soon as I can’t get enough. Thank you! So excited for this wonderful new restaurant to have taken over for a previous gem to keep the legacy of this location going!
Celebrated my birthday with my wife! We both really enjoyed it! The Prime Rib dip sandwich, fries and side of creamed corn I got was fantastic and my wife loved her Pan Roasted Mahi entrée. Only thing is they did not acknowledge the birthday celebration which to me is not a big deal as the server didn't pick up note the host had put on the table that had with our name and the occasion details , so just some training needed there for the servers.
We dined at the Tavern for our anniversary. The atmosphere was very pleasant on the patio and there was a talented musician playing a guitar and singing. The wine and drink list had plenty to offer. My husband ordered the French onion filet mignon. It seemed like an odd way to serve such a nice cut of beef, but my husband loves onions. It was actually quite good and the server had no issues switching out the sides. I ordered the day boat scallops which were underwhelming. First off, the scallops weren't seared at a high enough heat so they were just slightly golden and didn't have a dark crisp sear as they should have (like their online menu). Additionally, given the lower heat, they ended up being rubbery and they also gave off an ammonia scent. My stomach was queasy later that evening. It may have just been the rich food but I suspect is was the scallops. The polenta was disappointing too but not a fault of the kitchen. I just found it odd to have whole corn kernels when the best part of polenta is the creamy texture. It just felt like they took exceptional polenta and ruined it by adding corn kernels. The asparagus was cooked perfectly. Our server was on the ball and attentive. Other than the scallops, we really enjoyed the restaurant.
