Delicious! I love cafe de olla!
Recommended by a friend, I was not disappointed! I am ALWAYS game for authentic Mexican food! It's a small restaurant with not a lot of indoor seating. We were seated outside. The weather wasn't too cold and they had an outdoor heater to help as well.
Our meal started with cafe de olla. The sweet cinnamon smell wa enough to bring a nostalgic smile to my face. My friend and I ordered the chilaquiles with green sauce. SOOOO GOOD!! So much flavor. Our other friend ordered the chorizo sandwich. She said it was the perfect balance of chorizo and egg. We also tried the Mexican biscuit slathered with butter and served with strawberry jam. A little dry for my taste but the ladies loved it! Our meal also came with FRESH SQUEEZED orange juice. OMG!!DELICIOUS!! Our meal ended with a visit some super cute birds. Coincidence? Or part of the ambience? As satisfied and happy as I was feeling after such a delicious meal....I would totally give them the credit for the birds! Lol!
I'd DEFINITELY go back again.....soon!
They have good posole not quite like my momma makes it but good enough for a quick fix. It is clear which it not traditional in our household. We did have breakfast for the first time. We both got chilaquiles with both red and green sauce they were delicious. One of my favorites. The red sauce is the spicier of the two.
AMAZING ! Best cafe de la oya. I have ever had. We had breakfast here with my husband and the food and service were amazing. I had the egg enchiladas and he had the eggs with nopal two boliyos and fresh salsa. Can't wait to come back!
