El Pollo Loco

I guess not all Pollos are created equal. I've eaten here three times over the last 7 months and each time I've order the chicken meal, the meat has been dry. Hope it's not like that for everyone. I've come around opening time (within an hour or so) and it doesn't seem crowded.

I ordered the new double chicken nachos using a $5.00 coupon mailer. The portion was way smaller than illustrated. Additionally some ingredients seemed to be missing. Although the food was disappointing, the service and teamwork was exceptional. All employees were working hard and engaging with customers. Salsa bar was clean, organized, and presentable. Dining area was was inviting, floors were swept, and tables were wiped clean.

I got chicken that was moist and juicy! Fresh off the grill , tender and delicious. Macaroni and cheese that was so good. Along with black beans that were very tasty. I did what I usually do. I shred some chicken as I remove it from the bones. I don't like the skin , some people do.Pack this into a flour tortilla. Smear some mac and cheese on the chicken. Put some beans on top of that. I mix three different salsas while putting this together. It is hard to roll this up. So I just fold it in half and stuff it into my mouth! So good! I always pick up the rest with a fork. I love it when you get the chicken fresh off of the grill. You can tell this because it is so good!
