Dave's Hot Chicken

Drove by this place and thought "a chicken sandwich sounds good for lunch" so we pulled in the try it.
One word- impressed!
Simple menu, kinda like Raising Canes, just chicken tenders and chicken sliders- but with way more flavor and spice!
I ordered the 2 chicken slider meal and wasn't expecting much!
The chicken is served hot! Like burn your mouth... hot!
Large portion- way more than just 2 little sliders.
I ordered "Lite Mild" spice and glad I did. It had a lot of flavor and spice. Definitely don't order anything higher on the spice list unless you really like spicy!
The fries were also hot and good- spice on those too!
The secret sauce was good too!
Plus crushed ice for sodas!
Staff was friendly- said "hello" and "thanks" on the way out.
Place is clean!
This place is definitely a stand out compared to the other chicken places around!!

Stopped at Dave's this past weekend. The staff was super friendly and service was quick. Very clean and good seating in and outside. The only downside is that the chicken wasn't spicy at all. I got medium and my nephew got ghost reaper. Neither of us even had a spicy factor. The seasoning was SO salty. The chicken itself was juicy and tender, so maybe we just got a bad batch of seasoning? might try it again to be sure.

Trying this new place! This was a to go single slider and it was good but very very small I see pictures of other people slider and looks like I just got half. No milk shake machine as of yet. I don’t think I would pay 5$ for a piece of chicken. Cashier was very nice.

This is my second time at a Dave's. The first was during COVID when there was no inside dining. It was nice eating inside to enjoy my meal.

Today is the official grand opening day. People were lined up an hour early. I ordered the two piece tender with fries and a side of Mac and cheese. The heat level was extra hot and Reaper. The tenders were juicy and flavorful. The Reaper spice was weak. It needs to be kicked up a notch or two. The Mac and cheese was very good.

Service was great. All the employees had a high energy level and were happy. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is no problem too. I'll be back.

Amazing Chicken Sliders and the Mac N Cheese, very tasty. I might ask, that they turn the music down a bit, it was really loud. Hope they do well here in Tustin.
