H Salt Fish & Chips

During Lent time I look forward to having h salt fish and chips this is what I grew up during Lent two pieces of fish fries and a soda still the same still taste the same and for under $8 you can't beat it it's not rocket scientist and is not Gourmet fish if you want old school just to where you go

Your food is made when you order. I've always loved H. Salt Fish & Chips. The tartar sauce tops off your fish order nicely as does the malt vinegar. I highly recommend this little restaurant. I ordered the Dinner which is 3 pieces of fish and of course the chips.

Finding one of these restaurants can be difficult. However, if you do and your on a budget like me, you may share my thought that it's as pricey as you remember. But, again if like me, you say screw the budget and order up some tasty seafood deep fried to the perfect crispness. On to savor the flakey white fish that melts in your mouth. I had driven by a few times and finally stopped and ordered. It's small, appeared clean and has a few tables for eating there but I opted to take it home. Including me, there were four others ordering yet the staff handled it beautifully. And staff that night was two people only, the woman taking & assisting filling orders and the cook. They deserve Job Well Done kudos! My order was delicious. I ordered a combo with scallops and shrimp. I was bummed to be informed their combos didn't include a drink. I would have to purchase it separately. They offered drink in cans, bottles etc., but I decided I'd have something at home. Once there, I opened up my food and wow, just as I remembered! The scallops were my favorite. Not overdone, just sweet and tender. I recommend this H. Salt and hope they continue with much business.
