I was craving for trung muoi salted eggs and found this place.
    1. Canh ga chien trung muoi: i would have preferred them to be crispier but flavor ok
    2. Bo dam sau rieng: avocado durian was good. I liked it.
    3. Bap xao trung muoi: flavor was perfect but I was hoping to actually see the salted eggs (maybe just a few pieces or one salted egg would have been amazing). Other than that flavor was great
    4. Kumquat coconut juice: super refreshing drink! Definitely a winner (they gave me this for free while i was waiting for the other foodd)
    5. Customer Service: very friendly although they seemed to be short staffed.
    6. Overall: i would come back to try out other dishes and drinks. Their food has soul = the chefs really care about how their food tastes and were able to deliver that authentic Vietnamese street food flavors

I wasn't in town when they had their grand opening. I heard enough buzz for me to try this place out. For those who don't know, Lairai in Vietnamese means to slowly enjoy food and drinks with friends! Neat right?

Lairai serves up Vietnamese tapas! I ordered their salted eggs chicken wings, crab soup, and grilled octopus. The star dish of lairai is actually their crab, but that is something I would have to get next time since there person I came here with is vegetarian :P The salted egg chicken wings were delicious! Savory and slightly sweet. Grilled octopus paired with spicy kimchi was a good pair - great texture with a kick of smoky and spicy with the kimchi. The soup was a great dish to end the night since it was fairly cold on NYE.

I do recommend everyone to come here and try it out. The restaurant is small, but cozy. Vinyl records scattered across the ceiling. Definitely has a nice vintage retro feel
