“Cute family run spot with some authentic Vietnamese rice crepes. We ordered the Bun bo hue, #1 banh cuon dac biet, and #28 vermicelli bowl with an egg roll and beef. We loved our dishes and especially the banh cuon. They have the textures right and the seasonings on the meats were on point. The fried mung beans and shrimp cakes are delicious. The BBH is a pass for me. They pile on a lot of meat, but the broth and spice are off. My friends and I enjoyed our meal and loved the traditional Vietnamese dishes.”

“We found this place by an accident while walking and searching for a nice place to have lunch in Little Saigon. What was a gem that hidden in a strip mall with many restaurants surrounded it. It seemed like this place was just recently opened at this area. We were greeted very warmly when we walked in. Since it was our first time here, a very sweet and nice lady gave us a round of recommendation from the menu .A very dish she highly suggested was Banh Cuon Dac biet Thu Dung as the name of the Restaurant. We also ordered a bow of Mi Quang, Banh It Ram and my regular Vietnamese coffee. The food were outstanding and delicious, even the Banh It ram was crunchy yummy and hot. We were very happy with the choices of foods. The prices were very decent and cheap. The place was well organized and cleaned. The services and servers were friendly and helpful. Would come back again to try out the other dishes.”

One time in my chemistry class, while the teacher was talking, this guy asked loudly, “Does anyone have any lotion?” The teacher stopped talking as some girl gave him some hand lotion. The guy proceeds to slowly rub the lotion on his face as the whole class watches him in confusion. The teacher asks him what he’s doing, and he responds with “I forgot to moisturize this morning” and puts even more on his face. The teacher asks him to go to the hall to finish his moisturizing because he’s being a distraction, and after about 10 minutes he still hasn’t come back in, so someone opens the door to check and he’s still smearing lotion all over his face. He finally comes back in and hands the girl her lotion, and he’s used up half of it. Now people call him lotion boy.”

The menu has 12 different type of canh bun, for which you can choose to have more or less of anything in your canh bun. Service is adequate, not great, but not too bad. However I must say the place is dirty and sticky. Well that is the sacrifice you must make, to get authentic canh bun. Foreigner beware.”
