Pelican's Roost Fish & Chips

Really good fish, fresh fish cooked in bear batter. Chips were ok, but fish and crab cakes are phenomenal.

Small local place in Auburn. Simple decor and very clean. Fish and chips were excellent. Iced tea was fresh and bottomless. Reasonably priced with friendly service. I will be back.

Good fresh cod for the fish and chips. Large pieces of fish for each order. Fried in clean oil. Nice atmosphere of an old diner/coffee. Great food and plenty of it for the money.

We happened by chance to walk by. Stuck our faces through the window to see a glimpse of 1970 decor, probably the real thing which makes the place even cooler.

I got combo fish, oysters and chips. The fish was beer battered and oysters were breaded deep fried. Loved the fish, but not so much the oyster because breading overwhelmed the oyster.

Prices also from the 70s. Around $40 tips included for the combo, huge chef's salad, side of cole slaw, 2 glasses of wine and coffee.

Was highly recommended to us by the motel we were staying at. Prawns were huge and amazing. The cod was fresh and perfectly breaded. Must also try the clam chowder! Would definitely go back when in Auburn.
