    The service was great and the food was your typical diner fare. If a half star was available, it would have been 3 1/2. I love that they're open 24 hours.

    What can be said that everyone doesn't already know about Mels diner? It's a great homage to the early 60's, George Lucas' American Graffiti and American food. Everything is always well prepared and the juke box keeps my whole family in a wonderful mood. If they could get the staff some period correct uniforms, they could kick it up to the next level.

    A nice 50's style place that serves a solid hamburger,a good variety of breakfast plates,a good lunch/dinner menu and plenty of sweets to enjoy.

    I personally enjoy the night time for Mel's because they are 24/7 but I'm more active and willing to go places during said times.
    However don't let that discourage you frim going anytime its pretty good all the way through.

    Very good place for a good variety of foods. Service is excellent food is tremendously great and the atmosphere is also very nice 50s kind of atmosphere. I have been to Mel's Diner in Beverly Hills, Walnut Creek, Folsom, and Roseville California and they are all good.

    The employees were very nice and polite. However i ordered a steak & eggs well done and i returned it 3 times and still, on the third time there was blood in my steak. Therefore, the cooks need much more experience.
