Hidden gem! Really impressed with huge variety, quality food so far. This will be my new go to. Best hamburger I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to try the Asian, healthy food. Very quick maybe 12 -16 min. for quality take home or dine in. Bravo on the late hours of the night.
The service was efficient and the restaurant was set up well with adequate space to eat comfortably under Covid limitations. The food was absolutely delicious from Curry up. So good!! I have been to 5 locations in the Bay Area as I travel and all have been great. It is always a treat to experience various menus and choose from as many as I choose to. Great concept!
Thanks to the staff!
Local Kitchens is amazing! I work in a coffee shop nearby and heard about the restaurant when one of the managers came through our drive through and recommended we check it out. I was blown away! Very modern ordering on individual tablets with pictures, customizations, and upfront (affordable) pricing! Currently Local kitchens offers a menu featuring 5 different restaurants including local establishments like Garden of Eat'n, as well as San Francisco specialties like Nash and Proper!
All of the options were appetizing and well priced, but it was definitely hard to pick! After placing the order, my wife and I sat in the dining area where we were greeted by a friendly employee who indulged us in conversation while we waited for our food. The waiting process was also very transparent as our name was displayed on 2 TVs that showed the queue as well as expected completion times.
In less than 15 minutes we had 2 meals, from 2 different restaurants served on a tray cafeteria style which definitely added to the quirky-uniqueness of the place! Our meals were absolutely astounding, and quite large in proportion to the cost!
A nice lunch out for 2, for under $40 is hard to beat, especially considering we couldn't stop talking about how good it was on the drive home with leftovers in hand. I hear rumor that they will be adding more restaurants in the near future and I, personally, can't wait to see what delectable options Local Kitchens will produce in the upcoming months.
Definitely worth a try, and I will be visiting again soon!
Finally went with my wife and gave Local Kitchens a try. Unfortunately, not the experience we had hoped for. My salad was missing a few of the extra ingredients I paid for, and needed more dressing than was provided. My wife did like the Mac and Cheese from The Melt, but the grilled cheese was good, not great. Overall not terrible, might give it another shot down the road, but with so many options available in my city, it probably won’t be a regular spot.
Enjoyed our meals but even more so the staff was hopping! Excellent service for sure! The manager (assuming he was manager) was personally handing out orders, he was gracious to everyone ordering and picking up, he wiped down the leafs from the tables and chairs outside and swept the ground of the patio so customers didn’t have to walk in the fallen damp leaves. I expected an extended wait seeing as how they opened today but our food came out right on time (we ordered online) We will be back for sure!
