Moksa Barrel House

Moksa Barrel House has the best beer and burgers in town! The best of both worlds: award winning beer and award winning food. The food at the barrel house is by Hawks, which is a Michelin recognized restaurant.
You can’t go wrong with any of their burgers. The Chicken sandwich is out of this world.
They also have a great selection of premium coffees and milkshakes. They serve breakfast foods in the morning.
All around one of the best places to visit in placer county!

This has to be my newest favorite place. Great food, beer, desserts, and staff. They do an amazing breakfast sandwich and coffee drinks too. And, they sell 4-packs of beer to-go. They just need to get the crowler machine up and running for more take-home selections.

Went to Moksa after going to the theaters nearby. I really enjoyed the simple but delicious menu. Didn't end up drinking any of the alcohol but my friends recommend it. The interior space was very modern and accommodating for large amount of people. The barrels along the wall really showcased what the restaurant specialized in. I will be going back in the future to try more entrees and drinks with some friends.

Breakfast at a brewery? It's now possible at Moksa Barrel House. They open everyday from 7am to 9pm. I opted for a dinner experience. The Barrel House is a partnership between Moksa and Hawk's restaurant. I was expecting an upscale brewery. Instead, it was a counter-service with buzzing pagers and several families with rambunctious children. The atmosphere is industrial and bright Walmart lightning. The seating is arranged for groups of four or more. Along the wall, overlooking the parking lot is seating designed for solo customers.
The buttermilk marinated chicken was tasty and inventive. It was a combination of barbecue sauce, coleslaw and pickles. Towards the middle of the sandwich the bottom bun became soggy. I would recommend the Barrel House switch to table service and lower the lighting to create an upscale atmosphere. Also, add more comfortable seating. A couple of leather couches and tables would do the trick. Grilling the bottom bun would solve the soggy bun issue. In addition, customers might feel they are getting their money's worth if a side was included with the sandwiches. This is not a great date spot. The burger was amazing.

And to top it all off, the cappuccino was perfectly frothy and had just the right amount of caffeine to end the meal on a high note.

The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend!
