Q1227 Restaurant

We had a dinner reservation at this establishment for four people at 7:00 p.m. We cannot rate food we were NEVER served. This is what happened. We were seated within ten minutes and our server promptly greeted us and brought water. He returned with menus and took our order. We ordered a gumbo and a shared salad. After waiting at a our table for almost a half hour, the salad arrived on one plate along. We asked twice for second plate for the salad and one was finally brought. The gumbo was excellent. After finishing this course, we waited and waited. The owner came by the table and said she was sorry for the delay in our main course but the kitchen was backed up. We asked her for bread and she said she would bring it but never did. We asked a second time then a third and finally a plate of what appeared to be cut up cold hot dog buns was brought to our table. At 8:45, our server came by and I asked if an hour and a half was a reasonable time to wait for dinner. He gave us no consideration so we asked for the bill for what we had eaten and we would go elsewhere. The owner than came to the table and told us she would reduce our bill by half. We responded that the bill was not an issue, we simply wanted our food. We waited another 15 minutes and, when no food or server appeared, we got up and left.

Great food and service. My wife and I went there for our 15 wedding anniversary. This was our first time and we were not disappointed. My wife ordered shrimp and grits. I ordered beef welington with a side of collared greens. DELICIOUS! As an appetite, we ordered the fried lobster. It was very good. The bread pudding for desert would have had my Grandmother dancing on the table. We will definitely go back!

Good food - prices are a little high. Still working out the kinks, they have beer but no beer list, they have wine but no mention of what brand it is. Great jambalaya - the collard greens were pretty vinegar heavy. The best item we had was the deep fried lobster tail.

I met so colleagues that came up from Fresno here for dinner. I was amazed by the service and hospitality. Great atmosphere and conversation with the bartender. The owner came out and introduced herself to us and made a few recommendations for starters and entrees. I’ve never had Collard Greens that were so amazing, in fact I have never been a fan of Collard Greens until now. They were absolutely amazing.

I ordered the fried chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy. It was way more than I expected. The chicken was juicy and tender with a bread crumb bake on it. It has set the bar now for anytime I’ll have Fried chicken again. The mashed potatoes and gravy were smooth and delicious.

For dessert we ordered a lemon cake that was so rich and soft it would have been easy to eat several had I not been watching calories.

I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling through Roseville or that lives within 25 miles of the restaurant. I plan to visit again soon and bring some friends with me. I hope you’ll try them out and let others know about your incredible experience as well.

Run !!! Don't walk to this place !!! Have a seat and enjoy the ambiance. Be prepared to be amazed at the culinary delight of this restaurant. The chef is one of the best we have experienced. The staff unbelievably nice , the service manager wonderful, the owners went around to greet everyone, the wine and bar area were also great . We felt so welcomed and the food is out of this world ... we will be back
