Sumo Dog

I was a little hesitant to go all out with the toppings on some of those hot dogs but I was not disappointed. I got the Godzilla hot dog but asked for the spicy mayo and jalapeño on the side and it was perfect without them because I don’t do well with any spice. The flavors and different crunchy textures worked really well with the hot dog. Will definitely come here again.

A local chef recommended this hot dog shop. When delivered these hot dogs looked really unique and very tasty. I tasted 3 as we shared and was satisfied with the Japanese style toppings. The service was very helpful. The location is quite nice too, in a new shopping center with other restaurants around. It would have been nice to sit outside but there were no outdoor heaters as the other restaurants had.
If you like hot dogs and variety it is worth a try. Even if your not a fan of hot dogs i don't think you would regret trying the food.

Friendly service, new clean and hip modern decor. Had the Katsu dog & tater tots. Tots were great, hot dog was just alright. It was good but wouldn’t go running back real soon.

Love this place!!! Omg, I love the concept and fusion of the Asian toppings. Now for the best part - they have vegan and gluten-free options! This made my day so much. The sumo dog and the toppings on the katsu dog (both of which are not 100% vegan) were absolutely amazing with the vegan dog and gluten free bun. You can remove toppings that aren’t vegan if you want. I was so excited to try the sushi rice tots and I loved them. I’ll be back for sure!!

Let me start by saying the food was great, the cashier was friendly and helpful, and it has a cool interior design. I had the Sumo Dog with tater tots; my husband had a Sumo Chili Dog with tater tots; and my son had a plain burger “dog”. Everyone agreed - the food is delicious! My son was so happy that the burger in a hot dog bun (literally as it sounds) was an option because he’s not a huge hot dog fan… plus, he got cheese to drizzle on top, and a new Sumo Dog fan was born.

Now for the negatives. The tater tots are too salty. And, more importantly, the meal isn’t cheap! For the 3 hot dogs with sides and 3 drinks the total came out to $46!!! That’s crazy for a meal of hot dogs. We’ll be back, but it won’t be often.

If you haven’t tried it, yet, I recommend going. Just be ready to shell out some cash if you plan on having the signature hot dogs they’re known for.
