I've never stayed at a hotel that had a taco guy! Polo Taco is fresh, tasty AND inexpensive! People who werent staying at the hotel, came by for some Polo Taco. Every night he features something different. I was thrilled tamales were offered twice this week. The tamales were soft, buttery and bursting with flavor in the middle. The burritos were great and tacos were perfect!

The best tacos in Southern California are right here on the back patio of the Ayres Hotel. So delicious and cheap too. A very nice Mexican husband and wife prepare everything ahead of time then cook the meat fresh on the griddle and make your tacos when you order. There's beef, chicken, carnitas, and pestor and they're all flavored perfectly. The meat is also extremely lean. It's very rare to get even a little piece of fat. There's a nice bar where you can add your own cactus, cabbage, two different hot sauces, onions, cilantro, sour cream, etc. We have eaten here at least once a week for over a year. Don't be deterred if there's a line, it's worth the wait. The Ayres hotel bar provides indoor and outdoor seating as well as a nice alcohol selection, but if you dine in here you can't bring your own drink.
