El Patron

My husband and I have been here twice now. Both times we sat on the Cantina side for the all day happy hour. The portions of the nachos and fries are amazing for the price. The nacho chips are different than the chips and salsa; they are freshly made chips.

I saw some reviews complaining about using the Golden Corral furniture, they changed the tables to new ones on the cantina side. There is plenty of seating.

Both times we received great service, great food and everything was reasonably priced on the happy hour menu!

We went back and tried the food with a short wait to be seated. We got 5 different plates, and they were all tasty. The fresh Tortillas made the dish for my Camarone Costa Azul, so make sure you ask for them. I'm not sure why they don't come with every plate automatically.

First day review: I can only share that logistics needs to be figured out. The first day, jitters are still being worked out. We left after our 30-minute wait turned into 60+ minutes. We will have to give it another try on a different day.

I have seen multiple restaurants come and go in this location, and when I found out El Patron was going to be opening up here, I was super excited based on the great review my coworker gave me! They had their grand opening on June 16th, so we were finally able to try, and we did not have ONE complaint!! The layout is perfectly done, a lot of room, and the customer service is great!! If you have never tried El Patron (1st location is in Riverside, CA), I highly recommend it! Just an FYI, there are only 2 El Patron restaurants with the same owner.... the other restaurants with this name is NOT the same! Happy Eating!!

Overall was OK! Only have been open for 3 days when we went. If you want chips and salsa don't go on the weekends during brunch
Not offered! But I could order chillaques, aren't those chips? I asked our waitress...but those are different chips hmmmm ok?
Asked for my eggs to be over hard well you can see the picture. I was not offered to have them redone!
Pozole was excellent! Cadillac margarita did not have grand Marnier on side was "in it" ha didn't taste it. Bar area open and bright maybe needs some dim lighting felt like I was in a cafeteria.
Wanted to change tv channel and was told they can't change channels they are fixed on one station. Huh? Seems like cutting corners was our overall experience. Will give it some time and try again but not on the weekend before 2!

El Patrón is such asset to Murrieta! We've been needing a delicious sit-down Mexican Restaurant in our area and they're so amazing!
First, their staff are so nice and attentive! You're greeted with chips and salsa quickly after you're seated. The chips and salsa are SO GOOD! The food was so delicious! I really enjoyed the enchiladas, the second time I went I had the salad and it was fresh and delicious! I feel the size of portions are great for the price! Check them out, you won't be disappointed!
