Ordered a loco moco and small fountain drink and the total came out to $18.00 (17.91 to be exact) the loco moco itself was pretty good but here's the problem. On their menu it says the cost is $12.00 which is fine since it's a simpler/cheaper meal to prepare. The girl at the counter said it comes with a side of Mac salad which it did not, so they're prices are either wrong or they're charging $4 to $5 for a small fountain drink. Like I said the food was good but the portions are small and there is no value. The last business that the building they're in was really good but their food was priced too low so they went out of business I feel like these guys can suffer the same fate but because they are pricing their food/drinks way too high. If they adjust (and I understand everything is more expensive these days) I would be willing to come back but $18 for a small loco moco and small drink which leaves you hungry definitely not worth it
The food and service was amazing! I ordered the BBQ chicken plate which came with rice and mac salad...10/10!
Finally some real island style food, good people
Soft opening was this week.
They seemed to have some small hiccups as they are just getting started. We went about 15 minutes after opening. Some stuff on the menu wasn't available yet and obviously that's understandable. There wasn't really anybody in front of us and we waited about 15 minutes for half of our food and about 20 minutes for the other half. I'm not complaining though as like I said before they are just opening and getting their flow going. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Mac was good didn't care to much for the pork sliders but the shrimp was delicious. I will definitely come back to try some of the items that weren't available after grand opening. There was a very handsome gentleman who I'd don't know if he was staff or just helpful he had the most beautiful hair. I didn't know when you eat at the restaurant they call your name to grab your food so if you are eating outside be aware. By the time I was done eating the place was packed. Please support this local business and give them a try much better than the Hawaiian food chains.
The best plate lunch I'm California, if not the whole mainland.
