    Very interesting architecture in this upscale bistro at The River. Extensive menu with very tasty food and an outdoor patio area. Went there for brunch and really enjoyed it! The service was great and the view of the water features outside made for a great experience.

    My fried oysters were delicious as well as a mixed green salad. However my friend's Chinese chicken salad was dull with little cabbage and greens and little herbs or scallions and the chicken was plain with no light breading or herbs to punch up the dull flavor. I remember the Chinese chicken salad from a few years ago being more colorful with greens and purple and red and yellow veggies and the chicken was crispy. Oh well some good things do end...

    Very large, beautiful restaurant on the River Rancho Mirage, CA. Fantastic food, moderate pricing. Comfortable seating inside or out on the patio. Attentive staff. Try the Wild mushroom, truffle soup. Scallops in cream sauce, Tuna Tower and don't pass up the cloudless choc cake. OMG!! Just go.
