Pepitos Mexican Restaurant

Bacon wrapped Shrimp is delicious. Most of their meals are fairly priced and well prepared. A year or so ago staff was terrible. Seems like they brought back more seasoned servers. Last 2 experiences were great. Seemed like the old days when I enjoyed. BRING BACK GOTHOC NIGHT !!!????????

Went for lunch on a Wednesday. A couple customers should have been a good sign but I needed to kill time. Michelada was good. The spicy slasa was good. Prices were higher than expected. Fajita portions are plenty but meat with no flavor other than the grilled onions and peppers. Beans and rice we're sad. Guacamole and sour cream that came with the order sat under the hot lamp and was warm. Service was average.

Everything was amazing! From the chips and salsa all the way to the dessert (the flan was *kisses fingers* phenomenal), and the staff was very friendly and attentive.

Pepitos is a good 3 start Mexican food I would give it a 5 if they had homemade tortillas. And a better tamales, tamales are not made fresh. They are dry The menudo is "ok" and it tastes little different. Maybe not homemade?

I like this place. The food is good. The lunch specials are a great value with large portions at a good price. The happy hour margarita at $4 is an awesome deal and is served faster than you can blink your eye. I would have given this a 5 star rating except the lunch service we had was extremely slow. We went 2 days in a and day 1 service was great. On day 2 we had a different server and she was not as efficient. Thus my lowered rating. Enjoy the lovely sunset from the bar window.
