Food gives me just what I need, COMFORT. Priced comparable to other sould food locations. Portions are a nice size. Staff is friendly. I love the decor????

I have visited this establishment several times and I will continue to visit. The establishment is always clean, employees are courteous and friendly and the environment is very inviting. I must add the food is very tantalizing to the taste buds. I’ve tried the meatloaf, Ox tails, pork chops and buffalo turkey wings (YES, buffalo turkey wings) which was unheard of until I found them here, and EVERYTHING was fresh and good! I’ve tried ALL the sides and they were all exceptionally good. Hats off to the owners! Wishing you nothing but the very best with your business. I hope you stick around for many years to come!

I had the fried chicken and Mac and cheese this afternoon. It was the absolute best fried chicken I ever had. This food is so good. The Mac and cheese was delicious. Let me tell you though, the cornbread oh goodness. Normally I don’t like cornbread but this was AMAZING. I loved it.

The restaurant is clean and decorated very nice. The couple that own it are so nice, I can’t say enough about how great this place is. If you listen to one thing today it’s go eat at Messi Soul Kitchen!

I tried this place via recommendation. I was not disappointed at all take a look at the portion size of the amount of food that I received and the price is decent as well. I definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants some good tasting fresh soul food. The staff is great too, it’s family owned too. Like I said I definitely recommend this place to anyone, you will not be disappointed either. By the way they cook their greens in turkey so those that are concerned about pork, need not to worry. ☺️ take a look at the menu and order early as they do sell out!

If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars, I would. Customer service was amazing! Great attention to detail throughout the whole restaurant. The food was fresh, smelled good, and looked even better! They had a clear and concise menu and the portion size was perfect! I ordered the smothered pork chops, Mac and cheese, yams, and cornbread. The first bite immediately reminded me of my mom's food from when I was a kid! Needless to say, I cleaned the plate. I'll definitely be back and I'm bringing the kids with me next time!
